M. grandiflora I presume? I'm jealous. Most magnolias around here are
the deciduous variety but are quite lovely when in bloom. We have a
grandiflora behind the house but I naively planted some cedars and a
redwood nearby at the same time. (shakeshead.gif) The redwood is now 20m
tall and the cedars aren't far behind. They completely shade the
magnolia which is a spindly shadow of what it could have been. :(
