The amount of misinformation about optics and photography bandied about is awe inspiring. Of course, it's a sales blurb
written by someone who knows nothing about optics, astronomy and photography.
I ran out of steam before finishing, as the misinformation piled up. That is not to say that this lens doesn't work, or
might not become the greatest thing, only that it's not possible to tell either way from this puff piece.
The Moon is a terrible target for small lenses/telescope photography, as the IQ is limited by the atmosphere. But then,
they make a big deal about "industry leading" inch S-C telescope and the clear, stable air where they shot - yet the
results they show are distinctly poorer than I've done in my front yard with a 3.5" telescope/lens.
Flat lenses are certainly coming, whether from this direction or not. But I'm afraid this piece is to genuine scientific
information what the hot air from a stock boiler room salesperson is to good stock analysis.
