Can't say I totally understand this phenomenon of "best of" versions which appear to be mundane plebian fare but AG seems to have a point about G&L Greek chili dogs--a quick search reveals a near cult following. My only experience with such a thing was the smashed pea pie at Harry's on Woolloomooloo wharf in Sydney. I tried the vegetarian version and Marnie the classic. OK it was fine, but would rather go to Myers & Chang's. Price was good though and that wharf is fun. We did not run into Russell Crowe. http://www.harryscafedewheels.com.au/history A celeb had a bunch of smashed peas from Harry's flown in to Hollywood for a party. Not sure about that either. This was on our meandering path to my meeting in Cains where I had a paper to present. Take 'em or leave 'em, Mike -- _________________________________________________________________ Options: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/listinfo/olympus Archives: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/private/olympus/ Themed Olympus Photo Exhibition: http://www.tope.nl/ |
