According to an Avast blog, the short-term solution is to turn off the
self-protection mode. Seems that it conflicts with the Win7 zone defense,
which then causes the shutdowns.
Sure glad I came across that BSODViewer. Without it I might not have
solved this problem.
BTW: I've seen that the majority of people abbreviate this as BSOD, so
I'll use that from now on.
