I now wear an Apple Watch. I originally had one of the analog faces on it,
then realized I was being silly and switched to one of the digital ones
with much more info.
However, when it comes to car instrumentation, I much prefer analog.
Driving down the highway, a quick glance at the position of the needles
tells you if everything is within normal ranges. I know for a long time in
racing, the mechanics would rotate the guages in the dash so that "normal"
was pointing straight up. A driver doing 190mph coming up on a chicane
could take one quick glance and tell that the car was happy.
