I thought I recently read that that isn't true.
I really don't know for sure. The only owl I have ready about in any more than
a superficial fashion is the Snowy Owl. I read a short blurb about the Grey
owls in Maine to that effect
but am far from expert even concerning that narrow question.
Will defer to the birder listees. I do read a bit more about fluttering
winged critters as am a member of NABA, but they are a tad smaller and don't
seem to be pestered by my photographic attentions.
