Thanks, Bob. And well done noticing the time :-) Getting my mother to do
anything quickly is difficult, and not merely because she’s 20 years older than
I am – she’s rebellious . . . but starting lunch at about 1330 was pretty
civilised, and that restaurant in Olhão was very good indeed.
I must try the flaming chorizo, but I loved the atmosphere of that
café-bar-restaurant (in Moncarapacho): it’s run by a family and they treat my
mother as family. She has had little inclination to cook for herself since she
was widowed again last April and that place is invaluable for her.
Yes, I will look like that in 20 years’ time; I just hope that I don’t inherit
some other stuff that happens in old age.
