Yes, western. And I suspect lack of the habitat where you live Moose. 
They prefer open grassland with some cover surrounding. Red Mill Farm is 
just down the road from us and had a returning couple last year so we 
might get lucky. FYI Red Mill Farm was recently donated to the SJPT by 
author Ernie Gann's widow and includes several hundred acres of prime 
habitat.
