Okay, used laptop #3 came in the mail this morning. Inserted the Linux
Mint 14 (LM14) HD, plugged in the charger, and away it went. Lice and clean,
no physical damage, and just $20.50. Not bad.
Now I have a little problem that I cannot seem to find understandable help
for. In order to make the needed change to the one confiruation file so it
will load up the network manager, I just have to edit the file and save it.
But, I need to establish ownership of the file, or folder, or drive in order to
save it. How do you go about doing that?
I had installed all sorts of Windows software on this years ago, and they
seem to work. But, there is no antivirus or antimalware, so I need to do that
first thing once I get the network manager running.
DOS-oriented minds want to know.
