Nice bird shots. I occasionally see a Downey Woodpecker on one of my
feeders, but they are shy, and quickly retreat to the trunk of an oak
tree to digest their loot.

We've had a new bird showing up at our feeders, a woodpecker. But it's
shy, only feeding on the side away from us. Today has been a busy day
at the feeder, with wind and lots of rain making foraging tough.
The woodpecker showed up too, and I tried a few shots through a
window. Nothing very good, but enough for a clear ID.

By the time I went out to the small, back deck for a window free and
better angle, it had of course gone. But a goldfinch posed on the
fountain. <http://zone-10.com/tope2/main.php?g2_itemId=21443>
