I did not even know the sensor had more pixels than the X-T1. In fact, I do not
know the pixel count on ANY of my cameras (the Fuji, the Panasonic LX100, the
Ricoh GRII, the Leica M8). They all have ENOUGH and that is all I need to know.
No, the reason for upgrading was that the X-T2 was supposed to focus much
faster and more accurately than the X-T1. And that it does, hands down. This
alone is worth the upgrade to me. It also seems to have a nicer colour
rendition than the X-T1 did, but that is minor. The better AF is what counts
for me.
