Anyone interested in the history and conditions of NY tenements in the early 20th. century who visits NY should be sure
to go to the Tenement Museum. It is not a bunch of old stuff in a museum setting. They have an actual, unreconstructed
tenement building, caught by chance of fate in a time warp. All access is by guided tour. Make a reservation. Carol
hauls me into more old buildings than I would like on our travels. This was different; very engaging and informative,
with well told stories of the lives of people who lived there, told in the place where they lived.
