And that is by no means the only one. Three have been lost in the areas of
eastern NC and SC; two atom bombs and one hydrogen bomb. Only one was
capable of nuclear detonation (the hydrogen bomb) and in that case 5 of 6
safety devices failed to work properly. Only the sixth device prevented
full detonation.
