Really sad news. From my lurkhole, I will miss his posts. Chuck was also a
major technical contributor to the Scanwit group on Yahoo Groups in the
early 2000s. My condolences to his family.

I'm having a little trouble with my breathing.

I just heard from Peg that Chuck has suddenly left us behind. Here are a
couple of excerpts:

"I'm sorry to tell you that Chuck passed away suddenly Wednesday morning.
He'd had knee replacement surgery a month ago 
and was recovering nicely.  Don't know if he had a heart attack or a blood
clot but it appeared to be instantaneous and 
how he wanted it.  For me it was way too soon."

". . . you can pass along to the group that he derived much pleasure from
the interactions he had with you folks over 
the years.  A few of you he met in person but even those he didn't meet felt
like friends to him.

. . .  We're having a memorial service for him tomorrow here in Murrells
Inlet. "

I knew Walt wasn't the last beloved friend here that I would lose. It still
hurts to have another leave us.
