This has been out for some months now. I've been considering it for a
couple of possible uses, foremost being a very light, small kit, as I'm
always carrying a smartphone anyway.

Interesting. It looks like they've taken the wi-fi from the E-M1 and
eliminated the camera body while using the smartphone as the camera body and
display. You can already do this (control and viewing via the
smarphone) with the wi-fi capable bodies. Now they've just taken the body
away.
