Back in 2006, I worked at a camera store in New Mexico. I was shocked to
learn that most UV filters we carried had a wholesale price of just $2.00.
Yeah, two bucks! We sold them for 20-100 dollars depending on size.
Interestingly, the store cost was the same regardless of size.
We made a pile of money on them and the store paid us FAT commissions for
selling them.
