I think that would work but you might have to play with spacers under
the slide for:
a) focus and
b) to avoid Newton rings from glass to glass contact
You could also do a copy with your camera using a slide copier if you
have such a setup or whatever else you can rig up that will give you a
half life-size image on your E-M1. I keep meaning to checkout my own
E-M1 using the OM bellows and slide copier to see if/how all the parts
go together but keep forgetting about it. I'm sure it can be rigged
some way. I also have another old slide copier I've never used. I
think it has T-mount or maybe M42. Probably bought from Spiratone or
47th St. photo in the late 60s or early 70s. Probably dirt cheap on ebay.
