Hmm, Good point Chris,I will look into that after I have discussed the problem
with Olympus to get an idea of repair cost. As Moose has pointed out buying
E-global is a gamble, I have come out on top on many transactions for cameras
and lenses in the past. The one thing that annoys is that if a manufacturer
sells a "Faulty' product (Yet to be proved) they can wriggle out on a

But you paid someone for the camera, John, with a credit card probably. You are
therefore covered by the UK's Sale of Goods Act (various) and by Section 75 of
the Consumer Credit Act (credit card provider jointly liable) such that you
were entitled to goods of merchantable quality. Olympus and its warranty have
nothing to do with this issue: you have bought nothing from Olympus UK, so you
have no contract with it.
You should recover something from this situation.
