The 12-100 range fits perfectly for me, as 9-18, 12-50 and 100-300 leaves a big

What shall I do?
Well, since I picked up the 14-150ii my new tiny kit just adds the 9-18 as a pocketable 'nuther choice. Combined it is
less weight and more reach than the 12-100.
My tiny lens kit is similar, I've just matched it with a tiny body, too. :-) My 14-150 was the original, no weather
sealing, and my tiny camera, a GM5, isn't weather sealed, either
The poor 12-50 hasn't been out of its pouch in a while. My "long" lens is the 75-300. Much, much smaller than the
100-400.
Oh, I know, I know, up close and personal., the 100-400 is certainly too big and heavy. And yet, the 75-300 has been
sitting in the drawer since the Big Gun arrived. Either I'm crazy, of the PLeica is a better lens - doesn't matter
which. ;-)
Then again, I don't do the kind of hiking you do.
