Lack of updates from a "major carrier" in less than a year on an earlier
Android phone was why I dumped Verizon and went to Nexus series phones. My
Nexus 5 still gets all the updates, as does my wife's Nexus 6. Both have
long since been replaced with newer models. My old Nexus 4 promptly got an
update after I sold it to a friend, and he lives in Mexico and is on a
Mexican cell service. Google treats customers that use their phones well.
