Agreed. There is something about the finish that needs to be viewed
with two eyes.

Yes there is. Avoid the vibration-prone shutter speeds (which vary
from lens to lens) and shoot handheld. Throwing it on a Winder2 also
helps.

The only (real) OM body that doesn't have this problem is the
underrated OM-2S that has the additional latency between the aperture
pre-fire and the exposure.
