I bought a pair of VERY expensive New Balance shoes last time (a little
over a year ago) based on everyone telling me that was the way to go. After
the first month, I realized that they were never going to be comfortable
and didn't offer the support that I thought a pair of shoes that cost that
much should offer. But I was stuck with them. I have to go shopping soon
for something to replace them.
I remember one pair of Reeboks that I bought years ago - nice, white
leather - and they were awesome. Fit my feet like the little Asian dude had
custom-cut everything while I was standing there. Liked them so much that I
went back to Sears the next week and bought another pair to keep in the
closet for when the first pair wore out.
I have never been able to find a pair of shoes that fit that well ever
again. :-(
