This seems to be happening everywhere. Yesterday I found that the Joe's
Crab Shack across the street from the coffee shop had closed, and later learned
that numerous franchises had suddenly closed nationwide in the past month. And
a popular nearby pizza shop that had been a fixture for decades here suddenly
closed last month.
