Your practice of showing small images in the middle of endless white seriously detracts from the images - to my eye and
taste.
That seems especially true for these two. Seems to me that both look much more appealing larger and against a dark gray
or black background.
As presented, I like the second better, but against a dark background, a lot of attractive subtlety of color in the
first becomes visible to me. Pulling down the very highest tones a little makes it even more attractive, but that may be
some combination of screen brightness and my eyes.
