The soap apparently didn't work for me last night. Despite the soap I
did get a cramp in my right foot about 2 am. But that is better than 3
times/night. I'll continue using it for a couple of weeks to see if it
does make a difference. For the past 3-4 weeks I've not gone more than
a single night without foot or leg cramps.

I forgot to mention that I'll be trying the soap cure myself tonight. I
bought the package of 3 bars of flat "bed soap" from People's Pharmacy
and they arrived today. The most certainly do smell of lavender... even
through the plastic packaging.

Given that soap has proven effective on many different maladies I'd try
it. Read this <http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3004545/>
and note his method for making "crushed bar soap skin patches". I think
you could create some sort of bandana from a strip of soft cotton cloth,
infuse it some way with soap (maybe using a grater) and tie that around
your neck when you're driving.

Chuck,
With all of this discussion of cramps, I would like to ask if anyone has
a cure for tension pain just below the back of the neck, when driving
long distances? This has developed into a real problem for me.

That's exactly where my dill pickle juice comes from. If you eat
enough pickle to get a tablespoon of liquid I'm sure that works as
well.

Hmmm... Good reason for keeping a jar of Claussen spears in the
fridge.
Can I just eat a dill pickle?
I figure that if I'm going to have cramps, I might as well enjoy
them.
