Yes and no.
It is a beast to upload when you are trying to upload your entire
library at one time. But if you are uploading as a matter of course,
it isn't bad. For example, I can upload my weddings and portrait
sessions in the overnight after I shoot them. I have no interest in
the viewing of the files, just the cloud backup of the files. I'm
currently using a combination of dropbox and my own website drive.
There are only a small handful of companies that have "cloud" figured
out and they all use Amazon...
