Those of you living from the Florida panhandle to Virginia should keep
careful watch on the weather tomorrow. A storm is approaching that produced
severe weather on southern louisiana, producing numerous tornadoes around Baton
Rouge and New Orleans. WWL has a video of a triple tornado over Lake
Pontchatrain.
By tomorrow afternoon winds at altitude over Pensacola and southern
Georgia will exceed 210 kts, which will be stronger than those over New Orleans
this afternoon. RAP only goes out to 18 hours, so I cannot accurately see what
will happen when the storm front gets to the Carolinas late Wednesday into
Thursday, but NAM shows that winds at altitude over the Atlantic coast from
Florida to Deleware will be comparable.
