I don’t have CC, but the frequent Flash updates do manage to irritate me.
Firstly there appear to be 2 Flash programmes, NPAPI and PPAPI; each asks me
for permission to update (the way I like it), but one always fails. Then it
gives me the option to Download the update but instead takes me to the blimmin’
Adobe website where I have to click another button to download the updater.
This is the worst side of Windows-type thinking: you don’t get what you’re
offered, you get something that takes you to what you were offered, thus
doubling the button press count.
I would delete the Flash player and accept the loss of a few videos on a few
websites, but the Met Office Met Information Dissemination System (MOMIDS) uses
Flash exclusively (instead of HTML5) and I wouldn’t be able to access my MOD
weather forecasts without Flash.
Rant Complete :-)
