If Linux ran Photoshop I might have moved there already. But I was
disappointed after trying on about 5 different distributions for size.
All of them failed to do something I expected them to do... usually it
was something they could do but not out of the box... something that
required me to become more of a Linux guru that I wanted to be.
All but one failed to talk to my Windows printers and the one that did
had a major failing elsewhere. I don't remember now what it was.
Well, Win7 will be supported for another 5 years. Perhaps I'll be dead
by then. :-)

Chuck, a couple of years ago I would have really encouraged you to try a
mac but I am not so enamored of late, however it is still much better
than any of the newer windows, Linux also works but OSX is the better
front end. If you decide to try I wouldn't buy the latest and greatest
though but try and pick up a discounted earlier model

Oh, that looks great, Ian! I feel an order over The Pond coming on.

I'm still a ways from becoming an Apple fan-boy but I'll keep a
Macbook of some sort in mind.
