The specs say this has 2GB RAM and 32GB flash storage. The Win7 Windows
folder is 40.6GB or 43.7GB (in decimal disk drive lingo). Almost 50%
larger than the total available storage on the Pendo. What has gone
away on Win10 to make it fit? Is there anything at all left for the user?

I can't say whether something like the Pendo would be of use to you,
but if you're a windows user, something like this may allow you to do
what you need, it's all solid-state and only has a 32G onboard drive,
but has a MicroSD slot. Also has a couple of USB ports.
