For a good part, yes. That aspect was mentioned in the overview for "When
Worlds Collide" in the "Encyclopedia of Science Fiction Movies", which covers
everything up to about 1984.
One that did NOT follow this trend was "Queen of Outer Space", which
starred Zsa Zsa Gabor as a Venusian scientist. Most of the props and costumes
were from other movies. For instance, the uniforms worn by the Earthmen were
from "Forbidden Planet".
