Chuck, Andrew, Michael,
I have a couple of old, brass lenses, one of which I have actually
used. Here is a Ross No. 6 Symmetrical, 8-Inch f/16-64 lens with Rotary
Waterhouse stops, manufactured circa 1890.

Just to try it out, I adapted it to M42 Mount and installed it on my
Olympus E-1. The thick wooden "lens board" was needed to add length to
the bellows.

And, on a cold January morning, our local resident male Mocking Bird
posed for me in a young Cleveland Pear tree.
