Don't forget the IBIS and EFC that make it work so well!
Actually, with IBIS, the 600/6.5 would be perfectly fine unless you
have the wind-buzz going.
Not exactly what I was thinking about. Chuck mentioned the size and weight of the 75-300 as an effective 600/6.7 on
µ4/3, compared to the 600/6.5 for the same FOV on FF OM.
The 600/6.5 on (µ)4/3 would be a different kettle of fish, @ 1200 mm eq.
One of the things on my vague project list is trying out some long MF lenses on
the E-M5 II.
I've not tried the Tokina AT-X 150-500/5.6 since my 5D, where it underwhelmed; not all that sharp and weird bokeh with
some backgrounds. The Sigma 600/8 and Meade 1000/11 mirror lenses worked well on the 60D for landscape and moon. I think
I took a shot or two with the Sigma on E-M5, and know I took a couple with the OM 500/8, but going further got put off ...
Too many projects, and the practice of Creative Indolence tends to get in the
way of others. ;-)
Then again, maybe I just don't want to fuss with MF lenses. I'm pretty excited about the Panny 100-400 to be announced
in late Feb. - at least until I see the price. :-)

What if the Hokey Pokey *IS* what it's all about?
