I was in Chester in 1977. Your first couple of images are certainly familiar looking. I believe we also were out West
near where Monica is staying. It was business, though, looking at possible locations for new supermarkets, so little
sightseeing was possible, just what we passed on our way. One site was in Chester proper, which was when we drove
through the old part. I suspect the pedestrian way you show was still a roadway at that time. It was summer, but I
believe it was raining when I was there, too. :-)
