Yesterday I received the new Fuji 35mm f2 lens. I liked from the moment I took
it out of the box. It reminds me of a 35mm Summicron in terms of the form
factor and the appearance. But of course what is more important is the image
quality, and also there it seems to perform well. Here are the first two
pictures I took with it, while walking to the restaurant where I had lunch
yesterday.

I continue to be mystified as to how a small web JPEG of a full frame can tell me anything about the imaging quality of
a normal lens.

It's a great seeing, taking advantage of a bit of luck, that makes this a good
image, not the lens. :-)
OTOH, if a lens makes the user happy, does that not improve the user's
confidence and ease, and thus the results?
