The Contax was the Contax AX -series that did this type of thing.
You could still use floating element lenses, just set the focus on the floating
element lens to the correct location. This is already done on things like the
RZ67 lenses that have floating elements. One ring to set that location (with a
distance scale) then the focusing happens via the bellows.
