Andrew,
Its great to have you back on the list! If Boom Boom’s had just been a
center of drunkenness, noise, lewdness, and littering, the cops probably
would have left it open as an easy source of arrests in slow times.
Problem was, much of the crime there was violent (several murders took
place there!), and residents in the area were demanding that something be
done.
