I hope that never happens, and I have very little faith in the American
health care system. I've had at least three friends go into a hospital for
heart attacks, traffic accidents, etc., only to come out feet first due to
infections they got from the hospital itself.
And then there was my encounter with Blue Cross, being denied health care
because my employer contracted with Blue Cross of California. I was told I
would have to drive to California for coverage. Took a few calls from an
attorney to get them to back down. So I dismissed any Blue Cross Part C plans.
To paraphrase W.C. Fields, "On the whole, I'd rather be in Guadalajara."
