The Delta wing configuration was the first attempt to reduce the drag
created by the bow wave when flying above the speed of sound. Though it
worked, it created its own set of problems, including fast landing
speeds at very high angle of attack.

You're hardly crazy. It's not very often that you come across
a large aircraft that has the clean, sweeping lines of the Vulcan.
Am I the only one who thinks that it looks just like its name
suggests? I've never seen one flying but it looks like it shouldn't be.
