Thanks for looking,
Bob, it was an early shot with the boat - so I was lucky to catch some
morning mist
Philippe,
These are all BW from the Fuji XT-1 and my normal workflow is to import
to LR adjust histogram with high and low sliders and then open in
silverefex 2 scroll down through the presets and choose the one that
looks best to my eye, which is usually the first one that looks right, I
may continue on but I usually go back to my first choice. Sometimes I
play with the sliders but (unlike Bob) I normally leave them alone.
Thanks for the offer re DIY but we are stuck at the plumbing stage and
unfortunately here they no longer use copper pipes and soldered joints
(which I could do myself) but stainless steel and crimped joints and I
can't seem to find out where to buy the joints so we will need to get a
"proper" plumber in, so we are saving up for that.
BTW as a Welsh supporter I will be optimistically supporting France
"Allez le Bleus" this weekend
Cheers Ian

Hi All,
I am slowly going through the photos I have taken, here are a few I thought
worth sharing with the list, the first image was taken on the Great Orme and we
find the rock very much looks like a bear from this angle, the boat is on the
lake at Llanberis and the rest are images of Snowdonia. This holiday we left
the dog with a friend which meant we could manage a few long day trips - for
the rest of the images we rode the train to the summit and then walked back
down to Llanberis which took about 4.5 hours with a picnic stop. The visibility
was abnormally fantastic.

For those not on facebook, Cai recently turned 10 and I wrote a reply to a
newspaper article that was written when he came home as an infant which I
posted here - Please excuse any grammar and spelling mistakes (as always it was
written in a rush) although I will correct them if pointed out. It's probably
best to read the article (translated from German) first, it starts about
halfway down the page.

You'd be wrong to give either as your presence here is much appreciated on all
counts.
The BW series is fantastic, you do have an eye for landscape and geometry young
man :-)
BTW, are there straight BW jpegs from a fuji?
As to Cai, I probably got on board the list after the paper article was
published. But I remember the first pictures I viewed, and I'm happy to see the
little one is growing fast and good, and to read that the family can adapt and
meet the daily challenges.
OTT, I'm neither good at nor so fond of DIYing. Yet, should you need a hand
some day to carry on with the works, just let me know and I'll try my best to
make self available and helpful.
Grüsse
Philippe in neighbouring Alsace today
