Thanks for the link, I didn't know Nicolas Roerich. But I sure like his
paintings.
I didn't either, but Carol and her sister did, so off we went to the museum. I enjoyed it, but for the bad lighting. One
painting I liked was displayed between two windows bright with outside light, and then interior lights inadequately lit,
but with reflection of the lights. Almost impossible to see well.
Just received the book "Messenger of Beauty: The Life and Visionary Art of Nicholas Roerich
<http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0892814934?>" <http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0892814934?> before we headed out on
our trip, so I only took a brief look. I think I"m going to like it.
And am I to understand from your words that the collection of the Seattle
Art Museum is rubbish? ;-)
Bad Boy! You know what I meant; only commenting on the great lighting there,
not the collection, which is pretty good. :-)
