Giant Hogweed I believe. I have not heard it called wild rhubarb. It is
similar to cow parsnip. Indeed it is a huge plant and attractive to
some. However it may be 'wild' somewhere but not around here. It is a
nasty invasive and difficult to eradicate once it gets started. The sap
is extremely toxic. Protective clothing must be worn nor can it be
safely burned. I found two spots near our house which I reported to the
county weed guy who came out with the proper tools and I haven't seen it
pop back up. It was sold by nurseries so shows up in gardens on
occasion. I'm glad that you saw it in a controlled environment.
