When I saw the "little indians" sitting around the fire I couldn't help
but remember a line from an unknown western I saw as a kid probably in
the early 50s. An indian speaking to a cowboy who is building a very
large fire says: "Indian build little fire, sit near. White man build
big fire, gather wood all night." That's probably from 60-65 years ago
but it's so clear in my brain I think the words are an exact quote. :-)
Strange the things we remember and also the things we forget.

I attended the last few minutes of an all-afternoon 10-yr birthday party

afternoon of swimming, water slides, and ball games, the air got cool,
and the remaining cousins gathered around the fire pit, reminding me of
little Indians around a campfire.
