Choosing a 50mm can be a challenge. The Canon 50/1.4 is crisp, and has
beautiful close-up bokeh. But its close focus distance is 3 ft. The
Leica Summicron-R 50/2 will focus to 18 inches, but the bokeh is not
quite as smooth. Here are a couple of early morning shots with the
Summicron.
The little Skipper has large eyes that seem to see in all directions.

After Barney posted a Spider Lily yesterday, I looked around, and, sure
enough, found a couple. This is not as clean as Barney's shot with the
nice black background, but illustrates the Summicron's bokeh.
