Hi Bill,
I would have to hunt to find a Brillhart, if one is still around, but
here is an Alto classic that I have handy.

Well used! :-)

Ah, yes, originally the work of the great Arnold Brillhart. I suspect
that like other mouthpieces of the era, they are worth a good bit more
than their original cost today.
Thanks to my experience as a player and a repairman in my younger
days, I suspect that in your time, to get a special barrel would
require q special order to the factory and a long waiting period with
the addition of large amounts of cash, an in those days I don['t think
more that a couple of lengths were readily available. OTOH, a skilled
repairman could easily shorten a longer one with a lathe and patience

Thanks, Bill. I grew up in the days of Brillharte mouthpieces and Tonex
pads. That made a third-hand clarinet work for me.

To answer jim, I never ad more than two mouthpieces, three barrels and
a box of reeds, but that was plenty for me. But remember all
clarinetists are neurotics.
