There's so little perceptible pitch or roll in most sections of the Inside Passage that I doubt your tripod would be necessary. And on our trip, the very few times that there was much ship motion, we were in one of the sections both open to the sea and out of sight of anything worth photographing. And this was on a 600 passenger ship, only about half the size (or less!) of most ships on the route. What Scott says. Just flex your knees and make like a bean-bag ;)Where is your point of departure?
