Yes Jim, I think you picked my favorite too. The GM-1 is a quite decent horse
cam with a couple other lenses in one's pockets. Base ISO IQ is very very good
for such a tiny critter.
One loses a stop of DR if the SS gets over 1/500 as it is totally e-shutter
then -- I try to avoid that.
I might be partial to the GM-5 if there is glare due to the VF and easier time
changing apertures, especially with gloves on.
I became aware of the enhanced importance of weather sealing for both cam and
rider
when exposed at higher altitudes. ;-) I am not sure how the weather is in
June on average but misty/cloudy are certainly common.
The Basque were nice enough to us. After that full days ride , they took our
totally soaked gear, sealed off a room and turned the heat up to wazoo to help
dry it out.
