I hope this trip is all that you've planned for, and more.
I'm skeptical about the tripod on a moving ship. It might offer some
improvement on hold-holding by itself, but it seems like high ISO and
anti-shake are better friends -- unless you're photographing things on the
ship itself. At least you'll have instant review to see for yourself.
