The II series was certainly in a class of its own. I am convinced that
the best monitor of all times for non-image work was a green monitor
that Apple sold that had a black mesh anti-reflective coating on it.
Even with a bright window directly behind you, the screen remained
almost perfectly black. I could type at one of those screens for hours
with no eye fatigue.
Never to be seen since.

Until recent years, most PCs remained pretty accessable. Not any more.
The all-in-one computers are pretty much impossible to get into.
