...The hybrid is advanteagous. But long-miles on flat highways? Not so much....
Not sure how 'advanteagous' it is around here in the prius capital of the
world. Can't get stuck in traffic where a prius would shine. 45mph speed limit.
Still, it doesn't stop the many retirees, libertards and empty-nesters from
snapping them up. A couple of my friends have all-electrics. A volt and a
tesla. They are the perfect vehicle ...in theory but the payback math just
doesn't pencil out for a zillion years. Can't argue with the coolness factor
though. A little gas 4-banger or 'deisel' or one of the small electrics make
perfect practical sense around here where you can't drive more than 20 miles at
a time. The big city is within the 200mi charge radius for the tesla driver who
commutes and has a charging station both places.
